Let’s face it: As parents and educators of Gifted and Talented children, we often must supplement their regular classroom curriculum and even their gifted learning opportunities with other resources. It just so happens that Wired.com has compiled a list of what they see as the top online learning resources.They are calling it “Education 2.0″. I’ve [...]]]> Let’s face it: As parents and educators of Gifted and Talented children, we often must supplement their regular classroom curriculum and even their gifted learning opportunities with other resources. It just so happens that Wired.com has compiled a list of what they see as the top online learning resources.They are calling it “Education 2.0″. I’ve explored one of the sites listed, curriki.com (curriculum + wiki = curriki.com). Curriki is a site to which instructors can upload lesson plans. Anyone can download a lesson plan and use it as they see fit. It’s a lot like MIT’s Open Courseware project, but the lessons are a bit easier to understand for middle- and high-school age students. One site not mentioned, however, is Mango Languages. It’s a good site if your student is trying to learn a foreign language.
